"Whatever
you ask for in prayer with faith,
you will receive." |

Matthew 21:12-22 |
The
Protestant rosary is an offering of prayer.
It is meditation on the life of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
It is meditative prayer on the life of our Lord and Savior, Jesus
Christ.
When you pray with the Protestant rosary, you are remembering in
prayerful meditations our Lord's life from the Annunciation to the
Virgin Mary she was to bear the Son of God, through His Crucifixion,
Resurrection and Ascension back to Heaven where He sits at the right
hand of His Father (and ours) and to the Coming of the Holy Spirit.
The emphasis in the Holy Bible is not on the right posture or position
when in prayer, but on the correct attitude when in prayer:
People
pray kneeling (1 Kings 8:54; Ezra 9:5; Dan 6:10; Acts 20:36),
standing (Jeremiah 18:20),
sitting (2 Samuel 7:18),
or lying prostrate (Matthew 26:39).
We pray sometimes with our hands lifted up (1 Kings 8:22; Psalm
28:2; 134:2; 1 Timothy 2:8).
We pray silently (1 Samuel 1:13)
and aloud (Ezek 11:13).
We pray alone (Matthew 6:6; Mark 1:35)
and together (Psalm 35:18; Matthew 18:19; Acts 4:31).
We pray at specific times (Psalm 55:17; Daniel 6:10)
or at any time (Luke 18:1).
We should pray everywhere (1 Tim 2:8):
in bed (Psalm 63:6),
in an open field (Genesis 24:11-12),
in the temple / church (2 Kings 19:14),
at the riverside (Acts 16:13),
the seashore (Acts 21:5),
and on battlefields (1 Samuel 7:5).
We should pray spontaneously (Matthew 6:7)
and liturgically (Psalm 120-126).
We should, literally, pray for everything (Gen 24:12-14; Phileomon
4:6; 1 Timothy 2:1-4)
Yet what is prayer with the Protestant rosary? Meditative prayer
with the Protestant rosary is different from any other type of prayer
you offer or quiet meditation you may engage in.
In prayer, one is offering thanksgivings, petitions and intercessions
to our Lord. In meditation, you quiet your mind and open yourself
to hear the Lord speak to you.
In meditative prayer, you are doing both. As you go through the
five meditations within each mystery of the Protestant rosary, you
are meditating upon our Lord's life. Yet you are also actively offering
your prayers of thanksgivings, petitions and intercessions at the
same time.
The Protestant rosary is for Prayer Warriors.
The Christian who both offers and remembers.
The Christian who is never passive in prayer nor meditation.
The Christian who gives everything to our Lord in prayer while quietly
blessing His life.
The Protestant rosary is not for the occasional use of a person.
You do pray for many things when using the Protestant rosary, yet
you are also meditating on the Gift of our Lord's Life.
Join with others and begin your walk into the prayer-filled world
of the Protestant rosary . . .
